Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, born on August 19, 1965 is an American actress. She is also a producer and director. She is best known for her role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in the years 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The seventh season of the series ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received nominations for a Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) as well as What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The actress also appeared in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was a New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) who was an educator and family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI as a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English descent. Sedgwick has declared that she's Jewish and has been a participant in Passover meal times.
