Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She was secretary from 2021 to 2022. As a member of the Democratic Party she has previously been a part of the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House assistant communications director (2009–2011) as well as the spokesperson of the Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki contributed to CNN's political coverage from 2017 until 2020. Her career in politics began in 2001 when she began working on behalf of the reelection campaigns for Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democrats for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was later appointed the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's presidential campaign. From 2005 to the year 2006, Psaki served as communications director for U.S. representative Joseph Crowley as well as the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was appointed press secretary for President Obama's election campaign. [20] Psaki was appointed spokesperson for the United States Department of State in February 2013. The appointment in the Department of State fueled speculation that she could replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney when he left the White House, on May 30th, 2014 it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She was named Communications Director in the White House and continued to do so until the end of the year in 2015.
